Manager, Email Marketing

Location: Houston or Austin, TX

Campaign planning and strategy

·                     Work with campaign strategists to determine goals, target segments, campaign flow, offers, creative requirements and metrics requirements

·                     Advise on best practices with regard to marketing automation capabilities, testing, projected results

·                     Demonstrate a passion for testing new approaches and trends in the changing world of email/web delivery, reviewing results and performance, and adjusting for future campaigns

·                     Work with Marketing Operations to assist with translating business requirements into technical requirements

·                     Build communication strategies and campaigns to support data quality efforts and opt-in strategies, maximizing reach and gathering of relevant customer/prospect data

Campaign Development and Execution

·                     Manage the team of Eloqua users

·                     Set up all campaign elements within Eloqua system, including email creative, list selection, landing pages and web forms

·                     Building email/landing page and web form templates in the system

·                     Manage the creative development process working with staff copy-writers

·                     Set up of program flow for single-wave, multi-wave, and nurturing campaigns

·                     Testing of lead flow, creative, and deliverability

·                     Understanding of segmentation and list building

·                     Basic knowledge of fundamental practices regarding SPAM and data privacy

Requirements:

·         MUST HAVE Marketing Automation experience (Eloqua, Marketo, Aprimo)

·         High Tech Experience

·         Knowledge of IT audience, including best practices for targeting, and expected results with this audience

·         Strong process orientation and detail oriented with sound analytic skills

·         Hands-on experience working in Eloqua

·         Project management skills and prior experience managing campaign execution from planning through to implementation, measurement and analysis

·         Management experience a plus

·         Basic HTML skills with excellent computer/Internet skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and tools

·         5 -7 years experience

• Set up the Brazil office
• Implement the business plan
• Broad responsibility for all commercial, legal, financial and operational aspects of the business
• Recruit and develop staff, including a team of senior technical professionals
• Develop upstream oil & gas consultancy business
• Build relationships within the upstream oil and gas community in Brazil
• Liaise with management in the US and elsewhere

• Must possess strong knowledge in OLAP design and processes as well as knowledge of data modeling and data analysis tools and methods, particularly using the Cognos framework.  
• Designs and develops analytic and reporting solutions using the Cognos tool suite and other applications (Access, MS Excel, etc.) including Framework Manager metadata models, Report Studio, Planning Analyst and Planning Contributor. 
• Recommends ways for the stakeholders to maximize the value of current functionality and make recommendations for changes or enhancements. 
• Consults with user departments to determine analytical needs, objectives, functions, and I/O requirements. With this information, design, develop, test, install, and maintain reports and applications accessing Oracle and SQL Server databases. 
• Elicit input from the user community in support of current and anticipated reporting requirements. Work with functional entities on specific projects seeking to automate and improve workflow processes system-wide. 
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with reporting services from both internal and external customers. Continuously improves service delivery according to industry and technical best practices. 
• Acts as Project Manager for currently assigned tasks and accurately reports, both to IT Management and to project stakeholders, project status, milestones and goals, as well as make presentations as necessary. 
• Prepares flowcharts, documentation, system test plans and data, and conversion requirements.
